THE RETURN OF DAVID SLOANE:
Thanks to all of you who have written to me at robertdugoni.com asking when you can expect my next novel. This week I finalized a new two book deal with Touchstone, a division of Simon and Schuster. My latest manuscript (title pending publisher approval) brings back David Sloane and Charles Jenkins in a new legal thriller set in Seattle. This time Sloane is fighting for justice for the family of a National Guardsman killed in Iraq, and the stakes have never been higher for Sloane and for those he loves. The tentative release is January 2009.
In the interim, Damage Control will be released in paperback February 1 with a new cover. I just received my first copy and the new cover is brilliant and eye-catching. Please let your friends and family know and I'll let you know when and where I'll be signing.
EAGLE HARBOR BOOKS: Thanks to a very kind reader, I will be appearing at Eagle Harbor books on Bainbridge Island March 20, presenting a seminar on the importance of the query letter, the synopsis, and the first three pages of the novel. I'll also be reading from and talking about Damage Control. Hope you can come on out and see me.
NORTHWEST MAGAZINE: Check out the latest issue of Northwest Magazine which includes a feature article on yours truly. I'm grateful for a flattering article. Click Here to read article.
DAMAGE CONTROL IN PAPERBACK
Bob's second novel, Damage Control, which appeared on several independent booksellers top-ten lists, will be released in paperback February 1, 2008.
See why Seattle Mystery Bookstore said:
"Mr. Dugoni has created a compelling story, and has peopled it with all-too-human characters in very real situations. His juxtaposition of the difference between the public perception of relationships as opposed to their very real private dynamics is powerful and gripping, and the fast pace won't let go of you until the very end. You'll want a signed copy of this, I promise!"
